Kanya is a multi-disciplinary lawyer who heads TKQP Law’s family practice department while also leading the mortgage recovery and banking litigation teams. Her practice is defined by its international scope, frequently managing high-stakes, cross-border disputes for global clients.
Beyond litigation, Kanya was one of the select group of legal practitioners who were of the inaugural batch of practitioners to be certified under the Family Therapeutic Justice (TJ) Certification Programme in 2021. She an accredited a mediator with both the Singapore Mediation Centre and the MiKK International Mediation Centre, focusing on cross-border family conflict and child abduction. Her professional appointments include appointments as Chairperson of the FJSS (Family Justice Support Scheme) Committee for Pro Bono SG and Co- Chairperson of the Probate Practice Committee at The Law Society of Singapore.
Her expertise extends into commercial and property law, where she advises management corporations on strata development and building maintenance legislation. She maintains a diverse portfolio that includes landlord-tenant disputes, the drafting of commercial contracts, and contentious probate. This unique blend of commercial acumen and therapeutic justice specialization allows her to navigate the overlap between personal estate matters and corporate financial structures with a focus on holistic resolution.
