Tanguy was a practising lawyer for 12 years before joining The Law Society of Singapore in 2007 to set up and run its Pro Bono Services Office. He served as The Law Society of Singapore’s Director of Pro Bono Services until his appointment to Law Society Pro Bono Services (now Pro Bono SG) in 2017 as its Chief Executive Officer.

He is a passionate advocate for encouraging pro bono service by the legal profession and is a frequent speaker at international pro bono events. A Tote Board scholar, Tanguy has had more than a decade of non-profit leadership experience in working with public-private-people partnerships to enhance access to justice in Singapore. Tanguy received the President of Singapore’s Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (Leaders of Good Award category) in 2022 for creating a positive impact and galvanising others to do good. His current non-profit board service includes PILNet, a global network for public interest law, and Kampong Kapor Community Services, which supports families and communities in Singapore through various social service programmes.

Dinesh is a Partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP. He is the Co-Head of the firm’s International Arbitration practice and practises international arbitration and litigation. He is the immediate past President of The Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and Vice Chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Forum of the International Bar Association.

He was also previously Honorary Treasurer of The Law Society of Singapore. Dinesh has been a volunteer of Pro Bono SG’s Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, a non-profit initiative to provide legal assistance to needy defendants in criminal cases, and Ad Hoc Pro Bono Scheme since 2015.

Vivienne is the Founding Director of Genesis Law Corporation. Her main practice areas are corporate and commercial dispute resolution.  Vivienne has also advised and helped set up numerous local and international charities, IPCs, social enterprises, non-profit organizations, and frequently advises (often on a pro bono basis) on governance, legal and regulatory compliance matters for charities and non-profit organisations.

Vivienne is Lead Independent Director of Far East Hospitality Trust, the Chairperson of the CHIJ Board of Management of the 11 CHIJ Schools in Singapore, and the Vice-Chairperson of Catholic Foundation Limited. She also sits as Council Member of the Law Society of Singapore, and as a member of the Disciplinary Committee and Women’s Committee of the Football Association of Singapore. She was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2023.

Eek heads the Finance Department, bringing a strategic dimension to the finance function in support of the execution of the corporate plans and direction of Pro Bono SG. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants for more than 20 years.

Prior to joining Pro Bono SG, Eek held leadership positions including as head of finance and other operational functions in several organisations in the audit, banking, commercial, statutory board, and charity sectors that operate in Singapore and some Asian locations.

Francis oversees fundraising, donor relations and branding at Pro Bono SG. A decade in combat greens saw an eventual step out onto the concrete jungle as he dabbled in diverse leadership roles across the Centre of Government, Digital Adoption, Public Health, and Gambling space. An engineer by training, Francis was dual-tracked in strategic communications and engagement having schooled at NATO, Germany and was deployed for the humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts during the 2009 Padang earthquake in Indonesia, handling internal communications and morale management.

A passionate advocate, he was one of 55 selected Singaporeans on the SG Together Citizen Panel for Work-Life Harmony. Paying it forward as a qualified Para-Counsellor, Francis has been mentoring undergraduates with Heartware Network Academy and The Advisory Mentorship Programme youths and has also volunteered his time as a pacer with the Special Olympics Singapore for special needs athletes.

Hazel leads the Human Resources and Administration Department at Pro Bono SG, providing strategic oversight in the acquisition, retention and management of talent across all HR functions. Her efforts ensure a competent workforce is at the heart of the organisation, supporting the vulnerable and those in need of access to justice.

Before joining the organisation, Hazel gained valuable and in-depth exposure in the public sector and with government-linked companies in the fields of education, energy, and research & development. With over 25 years of experience leading teams across HR functions and specialises in Talent Management and Leadership Assessment and Development.

Jo Olivia Lee heads the Outreach Department at Pro Bono SG, overseeing law awareness, legal clinics, Community Law Centres and legal assistance for non-profit organisations. Prior to this role, Jo held significant positions in multinational companies, including Jardine Cycle & Carriage, DHL, and Citibank, where she served as Vice President. She also completed a secondment with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) with the Service Delivery and Coordination Division and the Service Policy and Services Group.

Jo holds a Master of Science degree from Edinburgh, Scotland, and received a full scholarship to study Law. As a firm advocate for Access to Justice, she believes in the critical role of being the first point of contact for those who are least served, last in line, and lost in the legal system. Jo actively contributes to various organisations: she is a Voting Committee Member with Willing Hearts Soup Kitchen, a Sub-Committee Member (Legal and Constitution) with the Singapore Golf Association (SGA), and a volunteer with the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE).

Paul is a Senior Partner of Tan Kok Quan Partnership. Widely recognised as a leading practitioner by leading independent legal publications, Paul has acted as lead counsel in some of Singapore’s most important and high-profile litigation cases in recent years. Paul also has a speciality in insolvency and restructuring work, having advised on numerous well-publicised insolvencies. In addition, Paul is a regular writer and speaker on dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvency topics.

Outside of legal practice, Paul is a board member of the Living Waters Methodist Church, a board member of Metropolitan YMCA Singapore and an executive board member of the Trinity Annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Singapore. Paul also volunteers at Pro Bono SG’s Community Legal Clinics where he dispenses free legal advice to the under-resourced on a regular basis.

Daniel Koh is a Founding and Joint Managing Partner of Eldan Law LLP.

Daniel has been instructed as lead counsel in many Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal cases, many of which have been reported in the Singapore Law Reports. Over the years, Daniel has developed an extensive broad-based practice in commercial disputes resolution and international commercial arbitration.

Daniel is also an elected Council member of the Law Society of Singapore and also served as its Treasurer in 2020. He is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Daniel had previously been a volunteer lawyer for CLAS and presently continues acting as Lead Counsel for accused persons in the Legal Assistance Scheme for Capital Offences (LASCO) which offers free legal counsel for persons charged with capital offences (death penalty offences) in Singapore.

Derek is the Managing Director of Cairnhill Law LLC. He is a dispute resolution lawyer with a focus on commercial and civil litigation, as well as criminal matters and has conducted and won trials and appeals at all levels of the Singapore judicial system.

Derek represents and advises companies and individuals in a broad range of cases, including shareholders’ and directors’ disputes, contractual and employment disputes and cases involving fraud.

He is currently the Chairman of the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme Committee and has also served on the Criminal Practice Committee of The Law Society of Singapore since 2006.

Gregory is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP. He is the immediate past President of The Law Society of Singapore.

Gregory was the inaugural Pro Bono Ambassador of The Law Society in 2009. He has been actively involved over the years in community-based legal clinics, as a facilitator and volunteer as well as representing indigent clients.

In community service, Gregory has had a longstanding and unique relationship with various charities and VWOs in aid of, among others, children and the elderly. Gregory presently serves as a Trustee of the National Youth Fund and the Rare Disease Fund as well as President of the Tribunal of Maintenance of Parents. In 2020, Gregory was also elected as Board Member of the National Council of Social Services and from last year, has been appointed as Honorary General Secretary.

Sadhana administers three critical schemes as the Head of Representation: the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, the Family Justice Support Scheme, and the Ad Hoc Pro Bono Scheme. She leads a team of lawyers, known as Advocates and Fellows, ensuring timely and fair assistance to deserving applicants, thus facilitating their access to justice through legal representation. Additionally, Sadhana maintains an active practicing certificate, allowing her to personally advocate for clients in court under Pro Bono SG’s various schemes.

Before her tenure at Pro Bono SG, Sadhana practiced commercial litigation at Drew & Napier LLC under the mentorship of Mr Davinder Singh, SC. She joined the pioneer batch of CLAS Fellows in 2015 and became one of the first CLAS Advocates in 2017, where she also mentored new Fellows. Her dedication to public service earned her a spot in the National Council of Social Service’s 40-Under-40 program in 2022, a prestigious initiative aimed at fostering young leaders in the social service sector. In 2023, she was awarded the Joseph Grimberg Outstanding Young Advocate Award, which honours young lawyers for their professional excellence, community service, and ethical standards.

Beyond her legal career, Sadhana is an active member of The Law Society of Singapore’s Advocacy Committee, where she contributes to the training and development of advocacy skills for members of the Bar. She is also passionate about environmental and animal welfare issues, serving on the Management Committee of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals since November 2022.

Kelvin is Co-Head of the Corporate & Commercial Department of Allen & Gledhill LLP, and co-heads the Energy, Infrastructure and Projects Practice and the Employment, Health & Safety Practice.

He also serves as an independent director on the boards of the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association, and a member of the Advisory Board of Victoria Junior College, Victoria School, and the College of Integrative Studies of Singapore Management University.

Wei-Ling is CEO of Vanda Global Capital, a Singapore Financial Institution comprising internationally systemically important governmental & non-governmental ecosystem. She contributes with extensive experience on boards & senior management roles in financial institutions, with expertise in strategic governance, risk management and compliance. Her appointments include, Advisory Board Member of the Singapore Management University Academy; Monetary Authority of Singapore Banking Industry Group, the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth SEA Advisory Group, Singapore Co-Chairman for International Trade Missions and at Board & Chair capacities at Rotary International Club, Foundation & District, Singapore.

Honoured to be Pro Bono SG’s first Non-Lawyer Board Member, Wei-Ling hopes to enhance the Board’s focus on areas of Finance and Investment, Governance and Compliance, Risk and Crisis Management and Technology, Digitalisation and Digitization and strengthen innovation in delivering legal education.

Nicholas is a partner at Nicholas & Tan Partnership LLP and has more than 25 years of experience in handling complex civil, commercial, criminal litigation and international arbitration.  He also regularly represents clients in commercial crime cases involving corruption, criminal breach of trust, fraud and market misconduct.

Nicholas presently serves as a Council Member of the Law Society of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

In community service, Nicholas is a volunteer with the Bukit Batok Legal Clinic and Committee Member of Tampines Rovers Football Club.

Guan Seng is currently the Managing Director of Cohen Assurance PAC. He has over three decades of experience in accounting and auditing related fields.

Guan Seng is active in the community and also serves as the Chairman of Finance Board at the Diocese of Singapore, Member of the Parochial Church Council at St James’ Church, Director of Anglican Preschool Services Limited, and Chairman of Finance Committee and Director of National Volunteers & Philanthropy Centre.

Steven Lam is the Founder and Director of Templars Law LLC.

Steven is a certified arbitrator, mediator and neutral evaluator, specialising in commercial, employment, international trade, insurance, shipping and construction disputes. Steven also handles complex insolvency, construction, employment, accident, medical negligence, family, probate, criminal law and personal law disputes, and appears regularly as Counsel for many of the matters conducted in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

In 2010, for his contributions to the Legal Aid Bureau, Steven was awarded the “Outstanding Volunteer Award” by the Minister of Law and was awarded the “Minister of Law Appreciation Award” in 2011.

For his community and other contributions to society, Steven was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President of Singapore in 2005 and the Public Service Star (BBM) in 2012 and appointed as a Justice of Peace in 2023.

A founding member of TSMP Law Corporation and a leading figure in Singapore’s legal community, Shen Yi served as the 25th President of The Law Society of Singapore from 2015 to 2016. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2008 and elected a Master Bencher of The Middle Temple in 2016. He specialises in corporate, commercial and financial litigation disputes.

Shen Yi is often cited as a leading individual in Dispute Resolution in many top international legal publications for his work in dispute resolution, primarily as counsel, occasionally as arbitrator.

Alice began her career in Public Service 26 years ago and found her niche in community service at Pro Bono SG. Coming from a humble background, she empathised deeply with the challenges faced by her clients and the socially excluded during her time with the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (2015-2016) and Community Law Fellowships (2018-2019).

With eight years of experience in the socio-legal system, Alice is committed to building and maintaining strategic relationships with Social Service Agencies (SSAs), Community Partners, Government Agencies, and non-profit and legal partners. Her goal is to ensure access to justice for the most marginalised individuals in this new tour of duty.

Pramnath Vijayakumar serves as the Deputy Head of Representation at Pro Bono SG, co-leading the Department of Representation and overseeing the management of three key schemes: the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, the Family Justice Support Scheme, and the Ad Hoc Pro Bono Scheme. His leadership ensures that operations run efficiently and that applicants in need of legal assistance are promptly processed and aided, facilitating their access to justice.

Pramnath mentors a team of Pro Bono SG lawyers, known as Advocates and Fellows, who handle urgent PBSG cases. His guidance ensures smooth operations and effective support for clients . Holding a practising certificate, he actively takes on cases under Pro Bono SG’s schemes and represents clients in court. Pramnath’s legal journey began with an International Scholarship to study law at the University of Tasmania, where he graduated top of his international cohort in 2012. He started his career in private practice as a commercial litigator before joining Pro Bono SG as a CLAS Fellow to pursue his passion for criminal law.

After his initial tenure at Pro Bono SG, Pramnath joined Providence Law Asia LLC, working with Abraham Vergis S.C. as the first Counsel and Pro Bono Advocate, handling high-stakes cases, including those involving the death penalty. His dedication to defending vulnerable clients marked his tenure there. Returning to Pro Bono SG in 2022 as a CLAS Advocate, he continued his advocacy for vulnerable accused persons, leading to his promotion to Assistant Director in January 2024. In this role, Pramnath remains committed to advocating for fair legal representation and access to justice for all.

Claudine joined The Law Society of Singapore in August 2015 to head Outreach and Communications in the Pro Bono Services Office. Prior to that, Claudine had spent over 17 years in the education and hospitality industries.

Since joining, she has overseen numerous initiatives and programmes. These include serving the community through the Community Legal Clinics, Law Awareness outreach programmes and Project Law Help, which support community organisations. Additionally, she has been instrumental in supporting volunteers and collaborating on pro bono initiatives with other agencies. As the Head of Volunteer Management, Claudine is responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the organisation’s 3,000 plus strong volunteer pool, which is critical to the continued sustainable expansion of Pro Bono SG’s initiatives.
